Kevin Cheff Fundamental Skills Seminar
Developing a Good Citizen and the Conditioned Retriever
Fundamentals of Field Training presented by
Kevin Cheff
Are you interested in the idea of field or hunt events but not sure how to start or how the training will
be helpful for your dog? Does the idea of running a field or hunt event feel intimidating and too
complicated? This workshop is designed for you!
Kevin Cheff is a well-established coach for handlers and dogs at all levels of retriever training. He is
passionate about the sport and about helping handlers to develop skills that will allow them to be
successful in field and hunt events. He excels at teaching a solid foundational program that sets you
up for future success at any level!
This fundamental workshop emphasizes how these early skills are not only necessary for moving
forward in the field, but also for developing a positive relationship with your dog and developing
“good citizen” behaviors that are necessary not only in dog sports, but as a member of your
household.
In this workshop, every aspect of fundamental training will be covered, as well as specific
developmental skills related to retriever work for field or hunt test events. In addition, Kevin will be
discussing what to do when things aren’t going well with concrete strategies to address issues that
may come up as you progress beyond this one workshop.
GRCI is pleased to sponsor this workshop and to open it to any dog owner who has any interested in
retriever events. Please join us in Dwight Illinois on September 12 th and 13 th for this phenomenal
workshop opportunity to learn from one of the best!
